Burger King Has Free Bacon Cheeseburgers and Chicken Sandwiches This Weekend to Ring in the New Year

Burger King is celebrating the end of 2023 with some tasty offers.

This weekend, shoppers can win free burgers and sandwiches before New Year’s Eve. On Friday, December 29, the burger chain is giving away free original chicken sandwiches with a $1 purchase.

But the offers don’t stop there! On Saturday, December 30, fans can get a free bacon cheeseburger when they spend $1.

Burger King is offering free food every Friday this month. Other days of the week had discount patterns, such as every Wednesday having $3 Whoppers, every Sunday (including NYE) having $0 shipping on purchases of $5 or more. Rewards members can access daily deals through the Burger King app.

Burger King has welcomed the return of some menu items that are returning this month, including the sweet cheesecake. Cheese-stuffed tater tots last appeared on BK menus in 2021. They are now available nationwide in 4 or 8-pack versions after successful testing in select markets.

BK melts are also back on the menu, a specialty burger sandwich on rounded bread (instead of hamburger buns). Three types of melts are available for fans: classic melt, bacon melt and the new shroom n’ swiss melt.

Classic has two Whopper Jr. flame-grilled burgers, melted American cheese, caramelized onions and stacker sauce, and bacon is the same but with bacon. The new BK melt in the line is a shroom n’ swiss melt with two Whopper Jr. flame-grilled burgers, Swiss cheese, sautéed mushrooms and stacker sauce.

BK isn’t the only one giving away free stuff this weekend. McDonald’s fans who opt-in to its rewards program can grab free fries this Friday. All they have to do is visit the chain’s app to take advantage of the offer and make a $1 purchase.
