Chris Gayle is a West Indian cricketer known for his brutal ground hitting. He is the second West Indian after Brian Lara to cross 10,000 ODI runs. Gayle is considered one of the best players in T20 cricket; he has set several records in this format and has played in prestigious T20 leagues across the world.

Chris Gayle was born on September 21, 1979 in Kingston, Jamaica (age 2018: 39). He was born into a poor family; his father was a policeman and his mother sold peanuts and snacks on the street.
He was educated at Excelsior High School in Jamaica. Instead of going to college, he joined the Lucas Cricket Academy in Kingston.
