Country musician Jordan Harvey got married!
On January 5, the singer, who performed with King Calaway before going solo, married professional dancer Madison Fendley at Dalhousie Castle in Midlothian, Scotland.
“After the first conversation with Jordan, I knew that he would be my best friend, but I had no idea that he would become my whole world!” Fendley tells PEOPLE.
Harvey adds, “As soon as I saw Madison wearing a red velvet cake at a friend’s pool party, I knew we were going to be together forever.”

For their wedding, the couple rented an entire Scottish castle for 3 days, so that their guests could stay together on the property. They started the three-day celebration with a welcome party on Thursday.
“I was never a girl who fantasized about her wedding. In fact, I never even thought about what my wedding would be like until I met Jordan,” says Fendley. “After visiting Scotland for the first time, I knew I wanted to have our wedding there, and after touring Dalhousie Castle, which was the first wedding venue we visited, I knew it was perfect.”
A couple who first met at a mutual friend’s birthday party during the pandemic did not hire a wedding planner. Instead, Fendley says she and her mom were planning a wedding. They also had help from event coordinators, Hannah and Mirren at Dalhousie Castle.
“I wanted our wedding decor to look classic, elegant and beautiful, which was extremely easy to achieve as the castle itself is absolutely stunning,” says Fendley. “But we really wanted the focus of our wedding day to be our love and commitment to each other.”

Harvey adds: “I wanted the whole day to be all about Madison and for her to have everything she could ever dream of, so I let her make all the decisions except for one… sticky toffee pudding for our dessert, and that’s definitely was one of the highlights of the day!”

On Friday, Harvey and Fendley continued their celebration with a traditional Scottish wedding breakfast.
During breakfast, guests ate baked tomato and basil soup with feta and beetroot salad. The main course included beef tenderloin and poached salmon. For dessert, the couple served sticky toffee pudding and chocolate brownies
“For Scottish weddings, it’s traditional to host a wedding breakfast. It’s a sit-down meal with dinner food, but it’s called a wedding breakfast because it’s the first meal shared with all the friends and family gathered for the special day,” adds Fendley.
“We decided to follow the Scottish wedding schedule for our wedding day, so of course some of the Scottish wedding traditions were a must!” she continues.

After breakfast Harvey and Fendley were married in a romantic ceremony. Both played with live music by The Jets Duo. Harvey walked into the ceremony to “For the Love of a Princess” from Braveheart. Fendley walked down the aisle with her father to “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Elvis, which is one of Harvey’s favorite songs.
Fendley wore a Casablanca dress found at Formally Yours, a small boutique in her hometown of Dothan, Alabama, while Harvey wore a traditional Bonnie Prince Charlie three-button jacket, waistcoat, shirt and bow tie, and cream socks with traditional Scottish shoes .
“I have no words for the emotions I felt when I saw Madison walk down the aisle. It was the most incredible, overwhelming and emotional experience of my life,” says Harvey.
At the altar, the couple exchanged traditional vows. The singer adds: “We had a bagpiper usher our guests into our ceremony. We also had an owl fly in with our rings, which was a surprise for all our guests.”

The ceremony was followed by a reception where the couple served an evening buffet of pizza, hamburgers, sandwiches, pulled pork and potato wedges.
During the reception, Harvey and Fendley cut their 3-tiered cake from Liggy’s Cakes with a sword. The first and second layers were blueberry lemon, and the bottom layer white chocolate raspberry.

The night continued with dancing and more live music from The Jets, a local band. Later, the newlyweds danced their first dance to a customized song. “I wanted to write a special song and surprise Madison with it for our first dance,” says Harvey. “My friends Rob Persaud, Austin Jenckes and Andy Holden got together and together we wrote exactly what I had in mind.”
“I wanted the song to be reminiscent of 1980s Bryan Adams and a sound that lyrically combined with our unique story.”
The next day, the couple concluded their wedding with a farewell lunch. Now they are looking forward to their life together. Fendley says, “Even though we’re already so committed to each other, marriage seems like the next step that will make us even closer and even more deeply in love.”
