The Prince of Wales once said he followed Swift “like a puppy” on stage during a charity event at Kensington Palace
Prince William Could Be a Secret Swiftie!
The Prince of Wales, 41, reportedly mentioned Taylor Swift during a casual conversation at the 2023 Tusk Conservation Awards in London on Monday. The event marked a major milestone for William, who became Royal Patron of the Tusk in 2005 and helped launch the award of the same name for the African wildlife conservation organization 11 years ago.
According to Hello! magazine, William reflected on the pop star, who has officially wrapped up the 2023 leg of his record-breaking Eras Tour, as he spoke to rocker Ronnie Wood about The Rolling Stones’ upcoming stadium tour and new music.
“We were talking about the tour and I said, ‘Come on, you’ve got to go on tour,’ and we were talking about the new album and everything,” Wood said, according to Hello! ” said William [he would] if we could get Taylor Swift there.”

The Rolling Stones guitarist reportedly told William that the “Fearless” singer had previously performed with his bandmate Mick Jagger, to which the Prince of Wales replied: “I’m there then.”
Regardless of whether Swift, 33, makes a cameo during the Stones’ 24 Hackney Diamonds tour, which will take place in 16 stops across the US and Canada starting in April 2024, Prince William also had the unique honor of sharing the microphone with a musical superstar!

At the time, William’s associates described the impromptu performance as completely “out of the ordinary,” and the Prince of Wales shared new details about how it all happened in a special Christmas episode of Apple Fitness+ It’s time for a walk series, which premiered in December 2021.
Mentioning that he was thrilled to see Bon Jovi, 61, and Swift at the event, the prince said he spontaneously followed the “Enchanted” singer on stage after she pitched the idea.
“I’m sitting next to Taylor Swift. She’s on my left. And after Jon sings his first song, there’s a pause, and she turns to me. She puts her hand on my arm, looks me in the eye, and says, ‘Come on, William “Let’s go sing,” he recalls.
“To this day, I still don’t know what hit me. Honestly, even now I cringe at what happened next and I don’t understand why I gave in. But honestly, if Taylor Swift looks you in the face, touches your hand and says , ‘Come with me…’ I stood up like a puppy and said, ‘Yeah, okay, that seems like a great idea. I’ll follow you,'” William recalled. It’s time for a walk.

“I went on stage in a trance and then I woke up halfway through Jon Bon Jovi’s ‘Livin’ On a Prayer,'” he says. “And I think to myself, ‘Am I standing on stage singing ‘Livin’ On a Prayer’ and I don’t know the words?”
Despite a wave of hesitation, William revealed why he decided to stick with it.
