Diego Luna’s son was not immediate Star Wars fan.

The 44-year-old actor stopped by the PEOPLE/EW suite at the D23 Expo to talk about his hit Disney+ show Andorrawhich serves as a prequel to the standalone film from 2016 Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

While talking about how he has always been a fan Star WarsLuna said the same cannot be said for his son Jerónimo, now 16, who he shares with ex Camila Sodi.

“I remember the first time I put it on Star Wars for my son and obviously it was too soon because he left me alone to watch the movie,” he told PEOPLE. “I said, let’s start with A new hope. I think he was too young to watch it, but I really wanted to share the film with my son because it’s important.”

“He was just bored,” he added, noting that his son was about 5 or 6 years old at the time. “I was with my friend and we were there… This is the moment every father waits for. And it lasted about 20 minutes and we watched the whole movie, obviously. Years later he watched it again and he loved it.”

“It’s going to be great stuff,” he continued. “For those who love Rogue Onethis season will be very special. And it will be fascinating to go straight to Rogue One after watching this second season, because you will see Rogue One from a different perspective. I promise you that.”
