Dilip Shanghvi started his career in the wholesale business of generic drugs with his father. His entrepreneurial spirit and determination led him to produce his own medicines rather than sell other people’s products. In 1982, 27-year-old Dilip founded Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. The company assembles it in Vapi, Gujarat, India. In the early days of Sun Pharma, Dilip faced several challenges; however, he persevered and focused on building a reputation for producing quality and affordable medicines. He led Sun Pharma to growth and success through strategic acquisitions and product development, becoming its “Chairman” and “General Manager”.
