Dua Lipa Just Brought a Really Handsome Date to the 2024 Grammys: Her Dad!

Dua Lipa is nominated for two awards at this year’s show for her ‘Barbie’ hit song “Dance the Night.”

This Barbie turned up the heat on the red carpet – and with her dad by her side!

For her 2024 Grammys look, Dua Lipa rocked a custom silver Courrèges gown that she said made her feel “strong.”

While talking to Party tonight on the red carpet, Dua said: “I’m very excited to wear it. I feel very strong in it. It’s definitely a heavy, metallic dress, so I felt like Joan of Arc.”

The long-sleeved metallic dress had a plunging neckline and cut-outs at the hips. The Barbie the actress wore her fiery hair down and loose waves and wore bold jewels from Tiffany & Co. But perhaps her best fashion accessory of the night was the date on her arm: her dad! Dua brought her dad, Dukagjin Lipa, along for her big night.

Dua, 28, is nominated for two awards at this year’s Grammys: Best Song Written for Visual Media and Song of the Year, both for “Dance the Night” from Barbie. The musician, who also had a role in the film as mermaid Barbie, is also on the show’s list of performers, alongside Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, Luke Combs and more.

Du’s hit song from the film also earned her a Golden Globe nomination and three MTV Video Music Award nominations.

The “Levitating” singer — who already had three Grammys under her belt heading into this year’s ceremony — loves making red carpet appearances. For her final appearance at the 2022 show, she wore two looks, including this vintage Versace from the house’s famous 1992 bondage collection — with platinum blonde hair.

She then took the stage alongside Megan Thee Stallion in another Versace look in a twinning moment with Meg. Like, an exactly a moment of fraternization.

While presenting the award for Best New Artist, they recreated the moment between Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey at the 1998 MTV Video Music Awards.

Like Houston and Carey before them, Dua and Meg took to the stage in the same outfits – only instead of the diva’s plain brown dresses, Dua and Meg wore black Versace outfits.

“You stole my glance!” Megan said.

“Well, I was told I had an exclusive. I’ll have to talk to Donatella [Versace]Dua replied.

Versace herself then stepped on stage and ripped the fabric from her skirt to reveal two different looks just like Houston and Carey did more than 20 years ago. At the same time, Versace declared: “These are my girls!”

“Thank you, Donatella,” Meg said. “Now we both look like winners.”
