Dwyane Wade celebrates another big win with his family.
The retired NBA star, 42, was joined by his wife Gabrielle Union and daughter Zaya on Thursday, May 9, as the two attended the 2024 Netflix Is A Joke Festival in support of him.
The family came out for When we get togetherwhich was a night of stand-up curated by the basketball legend at the Miracle Theater in Inglewood, California.
“When we get together, it’s just a joke on a joke on a joke,” Wade and Netflix’s Strong Black Lead wrote in a joint Instagram post on May 10, with photos of Wade’s crew smiling together. “Dwyane Wade put on one hell of a show last night on #netflixisajoke.”

Inside the post, the Hall of Fame athlete posed with the Larry O’Brien trophy, members of his family and comedian Lil Rel Howery, who hosted the event. Wade wore a white cardigan, baggy brown trousers and white trainers as he posed alongside his wife and daughter, 16.
Union, 51, wore a red latex dress with a gold necklace, while Zaya opted for a white shirt and skirt combo, a black leather jacket, black shades and brown boots to tie it all together.
The former Heat player’s mother, Jolinda Wade, was also in attendance, wearing a pink suit with a white button-up underneath. In addition to the photos Wade posted on Instagram, the family was also photographed together on the red carpet and inside the event.
As Wade shared with Netflix ahead of the event, the release marked his “first time” — along with his production company — venturing into the world of comedy.
“Laughter transcends differences and fosters connection,” he said of the event, which reportedly featured Chris Spencer and Janelle James.When we get together it’s about bringing people together to bond over a shared love of comedy. I have great respect and love for these talented comedians who will bring us together for an unforgettable night.”

And while not all of Wade’s children were in attendance at their father’s event, it seems they all supported their parents. Union told PEOPLE during the Met Gala on Monday, May 6, that her 5-year-old daughter Kaavia actually served as inspiration for her look this year — a mermaid-like dress.
“This is inspired by her,” said Union Kaavia. “She’s a water baby — she loves water. And she said, ‘Mommy, you look like a mermaid!’

Monday’s fashion show marked the fifth time Union and Wade have attended the Met Gala as a duo. To match this year’s “The Garden of Time” dress code, Wade accessorized his wife’s high-necked Michael Kors dress with his lilac Versace suit.
