In her Marie Claire In the essay, Wilson details their journey to further expanding the family.

“I buried my feelings…dealing with Nevada’s death by visiting an IVF clinic for the first time less than two months later. Elon and I planned to get pregnant again as soon as possible. Over the next five years I gave birth to twins, then triplets “, she wrote.

In April 2022, one of Musk’s twins filed a petition in court to legally change her name to Vivian Jenna Wilson (her mother’s maiden name, Justine Wilson) and to recognize her gender as female. During an interview with NBC News, Vivian explained her decision to speak out. “I think he assumed I wasn’t going to say anything and that I would just let this go unchallenged,” she said. “Which I’m not going to do, because if you’re going to lie about me, like, blatantly in front of an audience of millions, I’m not going to just let it slide… He was there, I want to say, maybe 10% of the time, that’s generous, he had half custody, and he wasn’t there at all.”

Grimes, the mother of Musk’s three children, took to X to show her support for Vivian, writing, “I love and am forever proud of Vivian.”
