Joe Jonas is not afraid to laugh at himself.
The 34-year-old musician has become a kind of style star in recent years, so it’s no surprise that he grabbed an invitation to the Cannes Film Festival. His all-white Lanvin look for the amfAR Gala on Thursday, May 23 was undeniably chic, but it also drew comparisons to a certain fast food icon.
After Joe appeared at the Gala, a Jonas Brothers fan account shared pictures of the singer and Colonel Sanders, the founder and mascot of KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken).
“Who wore it better? (Love you Joe),” reads the caption.
On the left, Sanders (whose full name is Colonel Harland David Sanders) is seen in his signature uniform of a white double-breasted suit and a black western bow tie. On the right, Joe wears a relaxed Lanvin double-breasted jacket with large pockets and a matching bow tie. He also wore matching Australian wool trousers and a tight cotton poplin shirt.

Joe Jonas Surprises Guests By Joining Brother Nick Jonas On Stage At 30th Annual AmfAR Gala In Cannes
Joe clearly found the comparison to be good fun and re-shared the fan account’s post on his Instagram Stories.

At the annual gala, which raises money for AIDS research, Joe joined his younger brother Nick Jonas to perform for guests.
Nick, 31, was scheduled to perform at the event and during his set he welcomed Joe to the stage for a performance of “Cake by the Ocean” by Joe’s band DNCE.
In a video shared by Diplo on Instagram, Nick could be heard saying, “Joe, where are you?” as Joe took the microphone from what appeared to be Diplo’s hand and walked towards the stage.

“Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for Joe Jonas!” Nick added as his brother joined him.
Younger brother Jonas wore a similar outfit to Joe – a cream jacket, white shirt and black trousers.
At one point during their performance together, Nick commented, “This looks exactly like a Jonas Brothers concert,” as the crowd danced and sang along.
Before Joe’s surprise entrance, Nick performed his 2014 hit “Jealous,” as well as Frankie Valli’s “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.”
