Glamorous couple stole bank cards from gym-goers’ lockers then blew £250k on lavish holidays and designer gear

A GLAMOROUS couple have flaunted their lavish lifestyles on social media after stealing £250,000 from a gym-goer’s locker.

Ashley Singh, 39, and Sophie Bruyea, 20, used their ill-gotten gains to go on a luxury holiday to Dubai and the Amalfi Coast.

They also bought a pedigree puppy and splurged on designer clothes while enjoying the trappings of their sick crimes.

The pair buried lockers in gyms across London and the South East in a year-long rampage.

Singh and Bruyea stole the bank cards of a total of 18 victims, who were under severe financial stress after their accounts were drained.

Both were convicted of conspiracy to commit fraud by false representation between January 2022 and January 2023.

Singh was jailed for three years, while Bruyea was sentenced to 20 months in prison suspended for two years.

Metohija police have confirmed that the couple will be on strike while their inconspicuous victims exercise.

They then went on a shameless shopping spree to buy expensive tech and clothes from designer stores like Prada.

Singh and Bruyea flaunted their wealth on social media – often posing together on holidays around the world.

This included a trip to Dubai’s most famous hotel, the Burj Al Arab, as well as photos in front of flashy motorbikes.

Bruyea has also posted a series of TikTok videos showing off her lavish lifestyle.

Meanwhile, their victims – 14 from London, one from Sussex, one from Hertfordshire and two from Cambridgeshire – were left under a lot of stress after their accounts were drained.

The “vicious” crime spree finally came to an end when a police officer noticed a pattern.

The Met Police team then monitored the couple’s phones, cars and faces on CCTV.

Singh and Bruyea were arrested at Gatwick while returning from Paris with €2,000 worth of designer goods.

The Met said: “We know the people of London are concerned about theft. It is a horrific crime and causes a lot of stress, pain and financial loss. That is why we take this crime seriously and our whole team was dedicated to catching Singh and Bruye.

“You couldn’t help but be moved by the devastating effect their callous behavior had on people, and we hope their capture will bring some comfort to the victims.

“I would ask everyone who has had something stolen to come forward, because we want to fight this crime and go after those who target the public.

“We will now seek to seize the proceeds of their crimes to try and help compensate those who have been through this.”
