Ayer, 56, co-author A working man with Sylvester Stallone, with whom Statham previously worked The Expendables franchise. The film is based on the 2014 novel Levon’s shop by Chuck Dixon.

“Levon Cade left behind a decorated military career in black ops to live a simple life working in construction,” reads the synopsis. “But when his boss’s daughter, who is like family to him, is kidnapped by human traffickers, his quest to bring her home reveals a world of corruption far greater than he could have ever imagined.” The tagline for the film reads: “Traffickers beware.”
