The pop star, 44, shared a sexy new pic of herself on her Instagram Story on Monday, December 16. In the photo, the singer of the song “Sweetest Sin” looked directly into the camera in a bold and daring outfit.
Sitting on a chair in the recording studio, Simpson wore a black mesh bodysuit with intricate cutouts.
Over the risqué romper was a light colored satin short set and a mini skirt.

She added a black blazer and black cowgirl boots for added drama, and opted for a smokey eye and bare lips for her glam look, which might remind some of ’60s icon Brigitte Bardot.
Simpson’s signature blonde hair was styled straight and pinned for extra volume on top.

“Can’t wait for you to hear the soundtrack of my soul,” she wrote at the top of the image, adding a single CD emoticon to the text.
Her last original studio album, Do you knowit came out in 2008. However, in recent months there have been hints of its return.

“This comeback is personal, it’s an apology to myself because I put up with everything I didn’t deserve 🎶 🎼 🤍🖤,” the “Take My Breath Away” carousel singer wrote on Instagram on November 11.
Once again, photos showed Simpson giving off sultry vibes while in the recording studio.

Each picture saw her sitting in a chair, striking different poses (and showing lots of leg) while wearing a white dress. She added contrast by pairing the garment with a shaggy black jacket and black latex over-the-knee boots.
Just a month prior, Simpson spoke exclusively to PEOPLE about how her eponymous label’s Fall/Holiday 2024 clothing and shoe collection helped her “get into character” for her long-awaited return to music.

“There’s a rock and roll western vibe that runs through pieces of this collection,” she said in an interview published on September 24. “It’s a celebration of how different forms of artistic expression are woven together.”
She added, “If I put on some of what I’m feeling artistically, I’ll be able to express myself better in the words and music I write.”
