Kate Bush is ready to climb that musical hill again.
During an interview with BBC Radio 4’s Today program on Thursday, October 24, the “Army Dreamers” musician, 66, opened up about how he “really wants” to record a new album.
“I’m really looking forward to getting back into that creative space, it’s been a while,” Bush told the newspaper.

When asked if she is currently working on new material, she answered “not at the moment”.
Bush added, “But I’ve been caught up doing a lot of archival work over the last few years, redesigning our website, putting together a songbook.”
Later in the conversation, the “Babooshka” singer admitted that she was thinking about a new album.
“And I’m very interested in starting work on the new album when I finish this,” Bush said. “I have a lot of ideas and I’m really looking forward to returning to that creative space, it’s been a long time.”
She found that “in particular [in] last year” she felt the desire to “start doing something new” in the music space.
While Bush may be ready to start making music, she isn’t necessarily focused on getting back on stage.
When discussing David Gilmour’s attempt to persuade the singer-songwriter to perform again in a recent interview with David Gilmour The Guardianteased Bush, “I’m not there yet.”
Bush released her latest new record, 50 words for snow2011. Since then, she has only released live and compilation LPs.
However, in 2022, Bush experienced a career revival with her 1985 hit single “Running Up That Hill” earning her a two-episode appearance. Stranger Things Season 4.
As a result, “Running Up That Hill” was #1 on the Billboard Global 200 chart.

Following his success, the British artist shared her gratitude in a statement to her fans in June 2022.
“The song is being reacted to in a lot of positive ways,” Bush continued. “I’ve never experienced anything like this before! I just want to say a really big thank you to everyone in the US who supported the song,” she wrote on her website at the time.
Upon his release on her Dogs of love album, “Running Up That Hill” initially reached No. 30 in the US, No. 3 in the UK, and No. 21 in Austria.
