Katrina Bowden’s trip to the Amalfi Coast is one she will surely remember for a long time!
The 30 Rock alumna i Brave and beautiful the actress got engaged while on vacation in Italy, and boyfriend Adam Taylor got down on one knee to propose as the two stood on a rocky beach in Positano.
“Happy to announce…we are no longer dating 💛,” Bowden, 35, and Taylor, 42, wrote on Instagram on Sunday in a joint post.
Their post was accompanied by a picture of an emotional Bowden, who covered her teary face as she reacted to the moment Taylor popped the question.
He proposed to her with a flash of an engagement ring, which features a round diamond on a simple gold band. Bowden showed off the rock in another image included in the post, taken as she held up her hand while on a boat near the destination’s shore.
Both wore bathing suits for the occasion. Bowden looked angelic in a white two-piece dress with a sheer veil tied at the waist. Taylor wore a short-sleeved button-down shirt and shorts, both black.

The couple had been dating for “several years,” a source close to the couple told PEOPLE. They went public with their romance in October 2021, when Taylor shared a photo of the two on his Instagram. She followed him and posted his picture on her page the following month.
The plethora of images on the internet has continued ever since. “Life with you is so full of adventure, love, fun, endless laughter… and lots of naps,” Bowden wrote in Taylor’s birthday post in January. “I love you and I’m so glad you were born today 😘🤸🏼♀️.”
“You are a ray of sunshine and I am grateful for the special moments we spent together,” he wrote last September, while celebrating her birthday. “Enjoy the day!”
This will be Bowden’s second marriage. She was previously married to singer Ben Jorgensen, though the two filed for divorce in December 2020 after tying the knot in May 2013.

According to PEOPLE’s insider, the actress met Taylor — who is the bassist for the reggae-rock band Iration — while vacationing in Hawaii, where he was born and raised.
“Adam is really wonderful. He lets Katrina be who she is,” says the source. “They’re equally supportive of their careers and it’s just a very happy, healthy relationship. We who are close to them couldn’t be happier for her.”
As for their trip to Italy, it also appears to have been in celebration of Bowden’s birthday on September 19. In addition to visiting Positano, the couple also traveled to Rome, where they took pictures in front of the city’s most famous landmarks including the Colosseum, the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon and the Spanish Steps.

“Even though I’ve spent most of my adult life thinking about the Roman Empire, it was extra special to experience it live together for the first time,” Taylor joked on Instagram, playing off the current TikTok trend, wishing his bride-to-be a happy birthday. “We like it.”
“You just HAD to mention the Roman Empire in my birthday post, didn’t you? 😂,” she replied.
