Katy Perry’s Daughter Daisy Dove, 3, Makes First Public Appearance at Final Vegas Show: ‘My Best Friend’

Katy Perry loves her daughter Daisy Dove very much.

During the singer’s final performance as part of her Play residency in Las Vegas, Perry’s 3-year-old daughter made her first public appearance when she appeared on screen during a segment of Saturday night’s performance.

As Perry, 39, prepared to perform her 2008 single “Hot n Cold,” she paused and took a moment to shout out her child, who she welcomed with fiance Orlando Bloom in August 2020.

“Daisy! I love you so much,” Perry said, as seen in the clip, which was shared by fans on X (formerly known as Twitter). “You’re my best friend, I’m so glad you’re here.”

“I’m going to sing this song—I think you know it?” continued the proud mom, addressing directly her daughter, who was dressed in a Minnie Mouse costume in the audience.

At another point during the performance, as Perry prepared to wrap up her final Vegas residency, the “Roar” singer gave a shout-out to everyone who made the Play program what it has become — including Daisy.

Also in the video divided by X by an audience member, the singer paid tribute to Bloom, 46, for being an “amazing support system” and an “amazing father”. Perry then turned her attention to their baby girl, stating, “I created this show after the birth of my daughter, Daisy Dove.”

“When I met her, it was like all the love I was ever looking for finally appeared. She made me whole, healed me and showed me how to play again,” she continued. “So this show is for everyone’s inner child and for the hope that maybe if we could all see life through the eyes of a child, we’d be free.”

The fans too recorded video Bloom and Daisy dancing in the audience at one point during the show, when Perry performed “Chained to the Rhythm”.

Perry surprised her fans by revealing her pregnancy with Daisy in the music video for her song “Never Worn White,” which was released on March 5, 2020.

She and Bloom then teamed up with UNICEF to announce the birth of their daughter a few months later by sharing a black and white photo of them holding their child’s hand.

Last year, Perry told PEOPLE how Daisy is just like mom and dad, explaining, “Daisy is great. She’s a combination of me and her dad, who are fearless with a lot of sass and just great personalities. So the combination of both of us definitely comes out.”

“It’s amazing to see everything new again through the eyes of a small child,” added the mother of one.

Perry also detailed how Daisy has been a part of her Vegas tour schedule, telling PEOPLE, “Daisy is with me the whole time and loves to see mommy get ready and get into character. And I take a bath between 6:00 and 7:00.” It’s a great routine. I thrive on routine.”
