Kelsey Grammer has seven children: daughters Spencer, Greer, Mason and Faith and sons Jude, Gabriel and James
Kelsey Grammer is best known for playing Frasier Crane Cheers and Frasier, but he is also known as the “dad” of his seven children.
The sitcom star was married four times and has a total of seven children between the ages of 7 and 40.
“It’s the greatest experience in the world, the joy of being with my kids every day,” Grammer told PEOPLE of fatherhood, adding that it “has never been better” and that his children are “a big part” of this chapter’s life.
Grammer became a father for the first time in 1983 with the birth of his daughter Spencer Grammer (40), whom he shares with his first wife Doreen Alderman. In 1992, he had his second child, daughter Greer Grammer (32) with his then-girlfriend Barrie Buckner. A few months later, he married the dancer Leigh-Anne Csuhany, but they had no children together, and their marriage was annulled a year later.
The actor married model and actress Camille Grammer (née Donatacci) in 1997, and the couple had two children, Mason, 22, and Jude, 19, before they split in 2010.
Two weeks after their divorce was finalized, Grammer married his current wife, Kayte Walsh, in early 2011. They have since had three children: Faith, 11, Gabriel, 9, and James, 7.
In the 2018 interview Guard, Grammer said, “Honestly, the beauty of being an older dad is that you get to try it again. That was a real gift.”

Spencer Grammer, 40

Spencer Grammer was born on October 9, 1983 to Grammer and his first wife, Alderman. The two were married from 1982 to 1990, and Spencer was their only child together.
At the age of 9, Spencer made her screen debut when she briefly appeared alongside her father in an episode Cheers. Since then, she has enjoyed a successful acting career, and is best known for her roles in Rick and Morty and Greek.
“He was great about me being an actress,” Spencer said of her father’s support. “He always tells me to follow my heart and do things for the right reasons.”
In 2011, Spencer had a son, Emmett, with her then-husband James Hesketh. Ahead of the birth, the actress told PEOPLE that she is “really enjoying” her pregnancy. She also shared the advice her famous father gave her about parenting, saying: “Dad told me it’s a beautiful thing and I’ll figure it out.”
For Father’s Day 2019, Spencer shared a sweet photo of Emmett with Grammer on Instagram. In the caption, she wrote: “My dad and my son putting together a 2000 piece puzzle. My dad and I always did puzzles on vacation. The more pieces the better. The more people the better. Just one piece at a time. Love you dad !”
Greer Grammer, 32

On February 15, 1992, Grammer welcomed his second daughter, Kandace “Greer” Grammer, with his then-girlfriend Buckner.
Greer, who goes by her middle name, has a special relationship with her father. In 2021, she dedicated a sweet tribute to Grammer for Father’s Day on Instagram. Along with a photo of the father-daughter duo from the red carpet and a flashback from when she was little, Greer wrote: “Happy Father’s Day og KG – I love sharing the same initials (and genes) as you. I’m forever proud to be your daughter ❤️ #sretanotčevdan .”
Like her father and older sister, Greer also works in the entertainment industry. She made her acting debut in 2010 in one episode of the series iCarly. The following year, she landed a starring role on MTV Awkwardly, which lasted for five seasons.
In 2015, Greer was announced as a Golden Globe ambassador that year. As Miss Golden Globe, she helped present the awards to the evening’s winners.
She starred opposite Kristin Davis in the Netflix thriller 2021 Deadly illusions and celebrated her 31st birthday while filming a new project.
Mason Grammer, 22

Grammer has two children with his third wife, Camille. Grammer’s third daughter, Mason Olivia Grammer, was born on October 24, 2001, via surrogate.
The The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills the star filed for divorce in 2010 after 13 years of marriage. A rather contentious divorce followed. In an interview with Genlux magazine, Mason has spoken openly about how her parents’ divorce affected her, saying: “It was the hardest time of my life. I changed a lot after that. I had to grow up faster because I had a lot more responsibilities.”
She continued: “My dad wasn’t around so I didn’t see him very often and it was so hard for my mom,” before adding that she and her dad can now talk “about everything.”
Mason has also done quite a bit of modeling. At 15, she walked the catwalk at New York Fashion Week, although her focus has always been on education. “I’m so proud, she’s a good person, she’s a good girl, she’s getting all A’s in school now,” Camille said. Page six in that time. “She passed all her exams and we want to reward her with something she loves and I think it helps her confidence.”
In April 2020, Mason graduated from Malibu High School and started college that fall.
Jude Grammer, 19

On August 28, 2004, Grammer and Camille had another child together, a son, Jude Gordon Grammer, who was also born via surrogate.
After the former couple’s divorce was finalized, Jude and his sister lived with their mother in California.
According to Camille, their son also wants to go into the entertainment industry. “I know he wants to be like his father, an actor,” she said Page six in 2018
In 2011, Grammer married for the fourth time. At his wedding to Walsh, Jude was one of the best men. Jude also agreed to have more siblings in the future. When asked about the possibility of having children with Walsh, Grammer stated that both Jude and Mason were “very, very cool about it.” He went on to say, “Especially my son, Jude, he’s like, ‘When are the kids coming?’ ”
Jude’s mom often congratulates him on Instagram, and for his 15th birthday, Camille wrote a tribute, writing: “Happy 15th birthday Jude Gordon Grammer! I love you so much! You brought so much joy to my life. I’m so proud of you ❤️😘🎊🎉.”
Faith Grammer, 11

On July 13, 2012, Grammer and Walsh welcomed a baby girl, Faith Evangeline Elisa Grammer. “We are thrilled,” the couple said in a statement to PEOPLE. “Mother and child are in excellent health.”
The couple announced in January that they were expecting twins, but “lost the boy shortly thereafter.” In their statement, they shared, “Today is our glorious birth with lingering sadness. We have chosen to celebrate the life we have been given. We proudly represent our Faith to the world today looking forward to the days to come and the children yet to come.”
Speaking about Faith’s birth, Grammer said: “I got to see her first and she looked a bit terrified.” He added: “She smiled straight at her mother.”
When Faith was 2 years old, she became a big sister. Grammer spoke to PEOPLE about his daughter’s struggles adjusting to her brother. “[Faith] she’s got a little more trouble than anyone else… she realizes her world is torn in half,” he said. “I think this wrinkle has pushed her over the edge a little bit.” He added that Faith has warmed to Gabriel little by little, saying, ” She kisses the baby all the time.”
Grammer opened a brewery in upstate New York in 2017, which he named Faith American Brewery after his youngest daughter.

On July 22, 2014, Grammer and Walsh welcomed a baby boy, Kelsey Gabriel Elias Grammer.
“We are blessed and excited to have this lovely young man join our family – he is magnificent,” the couple said in a statement.
Grammer added, “Our son will be named Gabriel because there is a tradition in our family of using middle names.”
About a month after his birth, Grammer discussed having more children and said Gabriel inspired him and Walsh to try for another child. “As soon as possible [Gabriel] came out, Kayte and I were like, ‘Yeah, let’s do another one,'” Grammer said. “I can’t imagine not trying again because it was amazing.”
He added, “Gabriel is fantastic… He’s a wonderful kid. He’s been really easy and comfortable.”
Auden James Grammer, 7

On November 14, 2016, Auden “James” Ellis Grammer was born. He is Grammer and Walsh’s third child together, and the actor’s seventh child overall.
In a statement, the couple shared that their son’s name was “chosen to honor the great poet WH Auden, and James is after another great poet and singer James Taylor — two of our favorites.”
Meanwhile, “Ellis” is the name of Grammer’s great-grandfather. “He was a colorful character, to say the least,” they said, adding, “we wanted to give that name a second chance.” Like some of his siblings, the seven-year-old now uses his middle name.
Grammer and Walsh prefer to keep James and his other siblings out of the public eye while they’re still young, rarely sharing pictures of their children or speaking publicly about them.
