Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys were better at red carpet Emmy interviews thanks to their kids.
While talking to PEOPLE i Entertainment Weekly at their 75th Emmys together before the show, Russell, 47, and Rhys, 49, told PEOPLE editor Janine Rubenstein that their children were “already commenting” on her outfit.
“Our kids are at home watching and we’re like, ‘Hey kids at home in Brooklyn, we love you!'” Russell said.
“The kids at home have already commented on you—your earrings,” Rhys told Rubenstein.

Keri Russell reveals daughter Willa’s hilarious reaction to watching ‘Felicity’ for the first time
“She’s wearing really cool dangling earrings and she’s got a really cool black necklace,” Russell said of her children’s comments. “She also described your suit, sort of a purple suit,” the actress told Entertainment Weekly editor-in-chief Patrick Gomez.
Rhys and Russell have a son, Sam (7). The actress is also mother to daughter Willa, 12, and son River, 15, who she shares with ex Sean Deary.
Last February, Russell talked about showing off her daughter Felicityin which she starred from 1998 to 2002, during appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
“My daughter about a year ago — she’s kind of mature for her age and one day she was bored — I said, ‘Hey, Willa, I did this show about this college girl and you might think it’s great. It’s really cute,'” he recalled. said Russell.
“So I showed it to her. I put it on and I downloaded the episode from Amazon or wherever it is today,” she continued. After about 15 minutes, she turned it off and said, ‘Ugh, mom, it’s so creepy.'”

“I was actually annoyed,” the mother of three said with a laugh. “I said, ‘Oh, I thought you might like it’.”
“And she said, ‘Ugh, so creepy.’ Like, why do you think I’d want to watch your college experience kissing weird guys and stuff?”
Speaking to PEOPLE about her parenting style in 2017, Russell shared, “I think it’s just different [based on] child. You never know.”
“You get what you get,” the Felicity continue alum. “And they’re all so different and wild and weird and good in their own way.”
Russell remarked, “You do your best every day, and some days are bad. I feel like people need to remember that more.”
