Krispy Kreme Releases 4 Ghostbusters-Themed Doughnuts — Including a Pull-Apart Stay Puft Marshmallow Man Doughnut

Krispy Kreme’s newest treats are freaking good.

As of October 7, the bakery chain is selling Ghostbusters-inspired donuts in honor of the film’s 40th anniversary. The Krispy Kreme x Ghostbusters collection consists of four different candies and a neon drink.

The first novelty is the Ghostbusters Cookies N’ Creme Doughnut. This requires an original glazed donut and dipped in chocolate glaze. It is then topped with Oreo pieces, Oreo buttercream and the No Ghost logo.

The Ecto-Sprinkled Donut is also made from the original glazed donut. Orange frosting and partial coverage with neon flecks add to the Halloween look.

Two treats highlight iconic monsters from the original film: the Slimer Donut and the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man Donut Pull-Apart.

For fans who love filled donuts, the Slimer Donut is a treat for them. The unglazed donut is filled with lemon filling and dipped in purple glaze. The green slime-shaped puddle and Slimer-shaped candy on top give a nod to the 1984 film.

Last but certainly not least is the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man Donut Pull-Apart. Dots glazed donuts make up the body of Stay Puft. Buttercream with marshmallow flavor and a piece of candy withdraws appearance of the character together.

In addition to donuts, Krispy Kreme also offers Slimer’s Slime-ade — a neon-green twist on lemonade.

Original Ghostbusters the film — starring Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Ernie Hudson and Sigourney Weaver and directed by Ivan Reitman — earned $300 million at the box office during its run.
