Kristin Cavallari Dismisses Nashville Dating 3.5 Years Post-Divorce, Considers Herself ‘a Monk at This Point’

Kristin Cavallari is done with the Nashville dating scene.

After trying her hand at dating since her 2020 divorce from Jay Cutler. Hills alum, 36, dismissed the idea during an interview with Party tonight.

“I’ve decided I’m done dating in Nashville,” she told the paper, adding that she can “guarantee” her next partner won’t be a country music star.

“I would consider myself a monk at this point,” she added. “You can throw anything at me and I’m like, ‘OK.'”

Cavallari announced her divorce from Cutler in 2020 after seven years of marriage and 10 years together. “We have nothing but love and respect for each other and are deeply grateful for the years together, the memories made and the children we are so proud of,” she wrote at the time in a post on Instagram. “This is just a situation of two people breaking up.”

Since splitting from Cutler, with whom she shares three children — sons Camden, 10, and Jaxon, 8, and daughter Saylor, 7 — Cavallari has been romantically linked to country singer Chase Rice, comedian Jeff Dye and Bachelor alum Tyler Cameron.

Although nothing ever worked out with those people, Cavallari said ET her children have high standards for anyone she dates, with son Camden considered the most protective.

“I tell them who I’m talking to or what’s going on, and they have strong opinions about these guys,” she explained to the news outlet.

Cavallari, for his part, also has expectations for his dates.

“I’ll go out with certain guys and I’m like, they’re great, but can I imagine them as a stepdad?” she told the outlet. “And I’m like, ‘no!’ And that is the biggest part of my life. I’m ready to settle down. I’m ready to meet someone.”

This isn’t the first time Cavallari has addressed her love life since her divorce.

It’s in April Laguna Beach alum discovered at Show Jennifer Hudson that she is dating again, but noted that she won’t talk about her romantic life until she finds someone “serious.”

“I just took the position that until I’m in a serious, committed relationship, I don’t really have anything to report,” she told host Jennifer Hudson. “I’m having fun. I have good dating stories.”

“This is the first time in my life that I’m really going out,” she added. “I’ve always had boyfriends, I got married very young, so I’m just enjoying it.”

Just two months later, Cavallari indicated that “not much is happening” in her love life, with her children and friends as her priorities.

“I’m not overwhelmed,” the reality star said of her current life. “It really doesn’t matter to me right now. It’s just not about where I’m at in life.”

“I’ve had a lot of fun in the last few years, just really focusing on my friends and hanging out with my friends again, because I haven’t had a chance to do that in a long time,” she added. Really, when you have little babies and three babies, basically, at one point, that was my world. And so it was nice to just have fun again.”

Although dating was not a high priority for her, it was not completely ruled out either. The Laguna Beach The alum shared that she would rather meet someone in real life than through dating apps or online — which she previously revealed she does.

“Anyone can be great on paper and you have to have that chemistry,” she explained. “I want to meet someone organically.”
