Kylie Kelce Says Prioritizing Exercising Sets a ‘Good Example’ for Her 3 Daughters

Kylie Kelce forms healthy habits for her children.

In a new interview with Eating Well, the 31-year-old mom of three opened up about her workout routine and why she believes it’s important for her daughters — Bennett, 11 months, Elliotte, 2½, and Wyatt, 4 — to see her break a sweat.

Kelce, who is married to Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, told the paper that she has a nanny who comes to the house a little earlier in the morning so she can enjoy what she calls “a little ‘mommy closure’.” ”

“Then I actually go and walk quite a distance just to clear my head. Sometimes I’ll answer email while I’m walking. It’s a really good way to kind of take a step back,” she explained.

Kylie said her solo walk not only benefits her health and well-being, but also shows her children that taking time to move their bodies is a good habit to adopt.

“I think it’s a good example for our girls that I go to exercise and make sure that this activity is part of our day,” she pointed out, adding that she also likes to walk with her daughters.

“When it gets warmer, we’ll go on long walks together where we’ll find a leaf of this color or a big stick and a medium stick, we do things like that.”

Kylie also shared her very relatable struggles with finding meals that all three kids will enjoy. “Getting little kids to eat anything is like pulling teeth,” she told Eating Well of her children’s picky palates. “One day he’ll eat something and the next day he’ll be like, ‘I don’t know why you thought I’d even look at that.’ ”

“Meatballs are a perfect example,” she continued. “Last night, for example, our eldest ate six meatballs. The middle one didn’t even touch them, he didn’t even want to look at them, but he ate a lot of pasta with extra parmesan cheese. And our youngest is like a garbage can, she will eat everything you put in front of her her.”

Right now, the winning option seems to be “something with pasta,” she added.

Kylie Kelce Reveals Her Family’s Plans (and Who Will!) Cheer for ‘Uncle Trav’ at the Super Bowl (Exclusive)

Earlier this week, Kylie told PEOPLE that she and Jason will be heading to Las Vegas to cheer on his brother Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs as they face off against the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday.

However, she noted that the trip won’t be a full family affair, as their daughters are staying at home.

“I think it’s a little controversial, but even during regular season games, I don’t take the girls to every game. They’re still very young,” she explained. “A stadium with thousands of people can be overwhelming, and it is three of them. It can be hectic, it’s just a lot.”

Kylie said she knows the girls will enjoy the experience more from the comfort of home anyway.

“The thought of traveling across the country with them [while] Jason’s going to be very busy, and putting them in maybe a stressful environment isn’t ideal,” she said. “We think they’ll be much, much happier to see Uncle Trav on TV because it’ll be easier for them to see him and cheer him on.”
