Miley Cyrus Shares Festive Snaps with Mom Tish and Longtime BFF Lesley (of ‘See You Again’ Fame!)

Miley Cyrus got into the Christmas spirit a few days early with a festive series of Instagram photos of herself posing in front of a tree with mom Tish Cyrus-Purcell and longtime friend Lesley (Patterson) Edmonds.

The “Flowers” singer, 31, shared the snaps on Friday with a cheeky caption referencing a famous lyric from her 2009 hit “Party in the USA”: “It’s definitely a party in Nashville 🎄”

In one photo, Cyrus held her fist as she posed in front of a decorated tree wearing a reindeer headband and a sleigh and reindeer long-sleeve T-shirt. In another frame, she was joking with her mom, Tish.

In a third clip, the star cuddled up to Edmonds, who famously got a shout-out to Cyrus’ 2007 hit “See You Again” with the lyrics, “My best friend Lesley said, ‘Oh, she’s just Miley.'”

The singer and Edmonds have maintained a strong relationship over the years, and in 2017 Edmonds attended Cyrus’ album release party for Now younger.

“My best friend Lesley said “Oh she’s just Miley” !!! I’m sooo glad my best friend since I was little BB made it to my announcement party!” Cyrus captioned a series of photos of the couple X (formerly Twitter) in September 2017.

This holiday season comes just over a month after Cyrus celebrated her 31st birthday on Thanksgiving, a milestone she marked with a performance for her loved ones at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles.

And as she explained in an Instagram post, her “birthday gift to ME this year was VERY on brand.”

“I performed for MYSELF and sang my favorite songs including my own,” Cyrus wrote under a compilation of clips and pictures from the night. “The first ‘live’ performance of ‘Flowers’ was in front of an audience full of my friends and family.”

“Bringing this song back to the seed… it has sprouted sensationally,” she added. “Grateful for the growth in both of us. 🌹💋❤️ Love, Miley.”

She also celebrated with a sweet post in honor of Tish, 56, who got married Escape from prison star Dominic Purcell in August.

“It’s so hard to believe yours [sic] ’31’ @mileycyrus I’m not sure how time flies so fast,” the proud mom wrote. “What I do know is that I thank God every day for sending you to be my ‘little girl’… I couldn’t have loved you more than I do .”

“And the way you love me is indescribable,” Tish continued. “My mini me, my ride or die … I hope this year is your best yet!!!!”

“I’m so happy to be on this life journey with you! Happy birthday ‘baby’, your mommy loves you! ❤️ #31 #happybirthday,” she concluded.
