Erika Girardi can’t help but feel vindicated — even though her housemates think she should be humble about her latest legal victory.
In Wednesday’s episode The Real Housewives of Beverly HillsErika, 52, gathered the ladies during their acting trip to Barcelona, Spain, and gave an update on the status of her legal battle over custody of her $750,000 diamond earrings.
In January 2022, a judge demanded that Erika turn over the earrings after she claimed they were purchased with money allegedly embezzled by her ex-husband Tom Girardi. The jewelry was one case in Erika and Tom’s ongoing legal battles after they were sued for allegedly misappropriating funds intended to help the families of victims of Lion Air Flight 610 in December 2020.

“I just wanted to share some happy news I got this morning that I think is important,” she began before reading aloud an email she received from her lawyer. “Attached are two district court decisions on our appeal regarding the earrings. The district court reverses the bankruptcy court’s restitution order.”
After hearing confused murmurs from her teammates, she explained that the court had ordered the trustee involved to prove that “the money used to pay for the earrings was actually client trust fund money.”
“In other words, you cannot prove that the money used to buy my earrings was the money of the clients,” she added in the confessional. “You can’t make it so they shouldn’t have been taken in the first place.”

Erika turned to her housemates and recalled the story from season 12 RHOBH where she got “very heated” and asked her co-workers to “please listen to me” and refrain from judging because “the story is not over.”
“What I said would happen, is happening,” she continued to the cameras. “[I said], ‘This is a long fight. Let it work its way through the legal system, don’t rush to judgment.'”
“Look, a win’s a win,” she shrugged before admitting the battle wasn’t over. While the case will still filter down to the “lower courts,” Erika noted that the “higher court” sided with her and said, “Wait a minute, this is not quite right.”
As the women congratulated her on her win, Erika enjoyed her big “I told you so” moment as the housewives reacted to the news in their confessionals.

“I think Erika feels vindicated with so many ladies in this group. So many of them doubted her so much,” Kyle Richards said.
Garcelle Beauvais remarked, “I wish she’d just leave the earrings and give something back to the victims so you can sleep at night, so you feel like, you know, even though it’s not your fault, you’re giving back to the victims. You need good karma!”
– I can’t control people’s reactions, but I really expected more from these ladies – Erika said in her own confessional. “I don’t need anyone to hug me, but I need you to admit that what I said would happen is happening. You know, that would be a nice moment for me.”
