RHOBH: Kyle Says She and Mauricio ‘Need Help,’ Feels Left in the Cold After Supporting Him ‘When He Had Nothing’

Kyle Richards gets to the heart of his marital problems with Mauricio Umansky on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

On Wednesday’s episode of the Bravo show, the reality star, 55, revealed that she and her husband, 53, have been in therapy and making progress in identifying their issues.

While catching up with Dorit Kemsley at her home, Kyle explained that she and Mauricio rarely fight. Contrary to popular belief, Halloween the actress shared how the couple’s lack of arguments had a negative effect on their communication.

“It’s often like something is going to bother one of us and it’s like we’d rather be calm and just not get along,” she continued. “I’m more of the one to say ‘this is making me upset’ and I have that fiery side where he just wants to be calm all the time, but that’s not always a good thing.”

She also noted that Mauricio’s constant travels and their busy work schedules did not lead to mending their rift, especially since the Agency founder’s absence caused him to miss important events in their family’s lives.

“I almost feel like he’s thinking ‘give Kyle some time and she’ll get over it and she’ll be fine,’ but I’m telling him… it’s a lot more than that,” she admitted to the cameras. “We need help.”

With the real estate professional’s business growing rapidly, Kyle explained that his attention is divided between work and family. She said that Mauricio agreed to take on more responsibility and often invests all his “energy” in solving problems at work.

After calling out Maurici for treating the Agency as “his child”, she asked herself: “Well, I think, if we have such problems, why can’t you give [me] that energy?”

Kyle continued in the confessional: “I supported him through everything from day one when he had nothing, and when I told him we were in trouble and you needed to work it out with me, I needed to feel like I was a priority and we were priority.”

“If no effort or effort is put in, we’re not going to end up together,” she continued. “We will never survive this.”

In July 2023, PEOPLE broke the news that Kyle and Mauricio had split. When season 13 RHOBH premiered in October, Kyle admitted that this latest round of filming was “challenging to say the least” in a candid post shared on Instagram.

“Here we go again. Every season always brings surprising twists. This season more than ever,” Kyle wrote.

Fans have seen Kyle and Mauricio’s ups and downs play out before their eyes, from keen-eyed housewives spotting missing wedding rings to friends in the cast worried about her new lifestyle changes.

She admitted in one episode that she was afraid the couple was “growing in different directions”.

“I think that considering what my relationship is like right now, I’m not happy,” she said in a confessional interview. “I’m kind of working on myself now and I feel that he’s very focused on his work. I don’t want to wake up, you know, a few years later and say, ‘Who are you?'”
