Biography of Rico Nasty
Maria-Cecilia Simone Kelly was born in Washington, DC as an only child. Her father is of African-American descent, and her mother is of Puerto Rican descent. She grew up in Prince George’s County, Maryland. She was raised in an environment of rap music because her father was a rapper. She grew up listening to famous musicians such as Beyoncé, Jill Scott, Bob Marley, Jay-Z and Nas.
She moved with her mother to the Palmer Park area of Maryland when she was eleven years old. She attended boarding school in Baltimore. That was the time when her parents divorced. They divorced the same year. Kelly got kicked out of school. He was found to be using marijuana.

Kelly began her music career with the release of her first mixtape, Summer’s Eve. She was in the eleventh grade at the time. After graduating, she concentrated solely on her music career.
