Sabrina Carpenter always knew she was destined to be a pop star.
In the cover story for PAPIR magazinethe pop star, 25, opened up about being a “freak manifestor” and discussed the hard work that goes into her career.
Although Carpenter wasn’t sure when her pop career would truly take off, she knew it was only a matter of time.
“I don’t know how to describe it,” the “Feather” singer told the newspaper. “When you’re a child and you only have a feeling, I know I will one day. I know I will be doing this for the rest of my life. I know this is the path I should follow, whatever that means for me, and whatever success that means for me, that’s what I’m meant to be.”

Carpenter had “dreams and goals” from a young age.
“I will say that sometimes I’m a bit of a freak show, which is a blessing and a curse, depending on how you look at it,” she said. “I always knew deep down that this was something I was going to do with my life, and I never doubted it, even when the s— was hitting the ceiling fan.”
Carpenter added, “I don’t think I ever doubted that.”

In June, the “Gluposti” singer announced her upcoming album, which features the viral singles “Espresso” and “Molim te molit te.”
“MY NEW ALBUM COMING OUT AUGUST 23!!!!💋,” Carpenter wrote on social media. “This project is very special for me, and I hope it will be something special for you too.”
The post also included her album cover, which shows the former teen actress’ long blonde hair flowing down her back and a red kiss mark on her left shoulder. The back cover then reveals the tiny Short and sweet tattoo on right shoulder.
Carpenter’s sixth studio album Short and sweet is on Friday, August 23.
