Shannen Doherty wants to be honest about the eventful moments in her life – a life lived mostly in the limelight.
The Beverly Hills, 90210 actress and cancer advocate is starting a podcast Let’s be clear with Shannen Doherty Dec. 6 as a way to “get straight about everything” in her life, Doherty tells PEOPLE exclusively.
The iHeartRadio podcast will cover a wide range of topics, from her decades-long career in Hollywood to her ongoing battle with breast cancer.
“I wanted to clarify what it was like working with Michael Landon A small house [on the Prairie]what it was like to work with Wilford Brimley our house, to talk about 90210 days. What was it like to be on the cover Rolling stone magazine when you’re in your early twenties? Enchanted to heathers and Mallrats“, she explains.

Doherty, who announced her separation from third husband Kurt Iswarienko in April, also plans to discuss the lessons she’s learned from her relationships.
“What relationships in my life have really changed me, from my first serious boyfriend to multiple marriages and engagements, to divorce?” she continues.
But the actress also wants to be clear that the podcast won’t be a “tell-all,” but rather a “memoir of the past, present, and future.”
“‘Tell all’ sounds kind of weird to me, because I always think that tell all is your only intention to blame everyone else and get on them,” Doherty says, adding, “I take full responsibility for my actions, and I consider myself very responsible, and I do that on the podcast as well. I admit the mistakes I made.”
That is her hope Let’s be clear with Shannen Doherty will be an educational resource for cancer patients, their spouses and their family members, which is why he plans to include doctors in the podcast.

“We’re really exploring all the different stages and degrees of cancer, what it’s like to lose your hair [a] a lot of times, how do you stay authentic to yourself while also staying really authentic to the cancer movement,” she says.
The actress also plans to interview guests that include household names, best friends and loved ones.
“My mom — listen, if I could interview my dog, I would — but she’ll probably be there with me sometimes,” she muses. “It’s just an eclectic group of people who have meant a lot in my life, mixed in with the doctors…I admire them.”
Doherty, who remains busy raising breast cancer awareness through TV appearances, events and social media, as well as joining her Beverly Hills, 90210 and Enchanted castmates at conventions, plans to record several podcast episodes a day.
“When I’m working and being creative, there’s no room for depression at all. It drives me,” she explains. “Working makes me so happy. Even my podcast producers said, ‘Really? You’re going to record three episodes in one day? That’s a lot.’ And I said, ‘I could do five in a day.’ I just go… It’s also invigorating. I love it. So that definitely helps me.”
