Christine Brown may have ended up with Kody Brown, but some weren’t sure if it was the former Sister wives the star was ready for a new romance.
Christine, 51, married David Woolley in Moab, Utah, last month. While many might be happy that the reality star has gotten out of her polygamous marriage and found love again, Janelle Brown wasn’t convinced at first that she would move on so quickly.

“When you first told us you met this guy, I was like, ‘Oh no, that’s too fast,'” Janelle Christine said in a joint interview with Party tonight published on Tuesday.
Janelle, 54, worried the relationship was developing so quickly it could even be “dangerous”.

“I said, ‘No, no, this is not a good idea. This is too fast. This is too fast,'” she continued.
After Christine and Kody split after 14 years together in 2021, she met Woolley, 59, online through a matchmaking service in October 2022. As time went on, Janelle admitted that her former co-star and David “worked great “.
“When I first met him, I was like, ‘Wow, he’s really cool.’ And the longer I hang out with him, I think, ‘He’s great,'” Janelle said ET. “He’s really cool. I ride with them a lot and I really enjoy it. He’s witty and thinks like [Christine] and thinks like me. And the children adore him. All the kids think he’s amazing.”

Christine and Kody have six children – Aspyn, 28, Mykelti, 27, Gwendlyn, 21, Ysabel, 20, True, 13, and son Paedon, 25. Janelle also has six children with patriarch Brown. The strained relationship often played out in front of the cameras of the long-running TLC reality series.

Elsewhere in the interview, Christine discussed her plans to change her name now that she has a new husband.
“I’m going to legally change it to Christine Woolley,” she said. “But I’ll still be known as Christine Brown, just because I was Christine Brown for 14 years, you know? But no, it’ll be Christine Woolley, definitely.”
“I had no idea I felt this way or would feel this way… It’s amazing,” she continued. “It’s like we just moved in next to each other and just moved on with our lives, but we’re doing everything the other person wanted to do but never did. So we travel so much and try so many new things and now we have so many more kids.”

Ahead of the fall wedding, Christine spoke exclusively to PEOPLE about the “fairy tale” ceremony.
“It’s a fairy tale,” she said. “That’s all I thought I’d have. I go to the altar to David, he just looks at me the way he does, it’s a dream come true.”
Woolley added that Christine finally got the chance to “wear a white dress and walk down the aisle with her dad” because it was something “she never got to do.” [in] her first marriage.”
