Shri Sriram V alias Sriram Venkitaraman was born on Friday, November 28, 1986 in Kerala (age 33 years 2019). His zodiac sign is Sagittarius. He received his education at Bhavan Vidya Mandir in Giri Nagar. He received his Bachelor of Medicine degree from Trivandrum Medical College and his MD degree from Srirama Chandra Bhanja Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack.

In 2012, Sriram passed the UPSC examination for the second time. In 2013, he was posted as Kerala cadre. In 2015, he was appointed as Assistant Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Department of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution. He works as Deputy Collector in Devikulam. He was the Director of Investigation Department, Kerala, until he was suspended after he allegedly collided with the bicycle of KM Basheer (journalist and Siraj Division Chief) while in an inebriated state, resulting in Basheer’s death.

- In 2017, he served as deputy collector in Devikulam during the eviction drive in Munnar. He issued notices to about 100 resorts and unauthorized constructions. He angered local Munnar politicians, including Kerala Chief Minister Piranayi Vijayan, who took strong action against illegal construction in Munnar.

He did not want to go back to the apartment but wanted to have dinner in Palayam. The two stopped midway at Coffee Day Cafe. After the accident, Sriram took charge and killed KM Basheer.

- After the accident, Sriram was admitted to a private hospital. He was admitted to the Kerala Government College Medical College Hospital after a district court ordered his imprisonment.
- Two days after his arrest, the Kerala government suspended him with immediate effect under Rule 3(3) of the All India Services (Discipline and Appeals) Rules, 1969.
- Sriram was in the car with his female friend Wafa Feroze and bumped into journalist KM Basheer. Both claimed the latter was driving the car. Although, Volkswagen belongs to Wafa.
- Sriram was granted bail on August 6, 2019, and the delay in opening the case against him worked in his favour, as the prosecution failed to provide the court with sufficient scientific evidence to prove that Sriram was in an intoxicated state. However, his bail was later canceled. It is said that on August 22, 2019, Fingerprint Bureau officials detected Sriram’s fingerprints on the driver’s side of the accident vehicle.
- Jayasurya made a cameo appearance in Gireesh Nair’s Puzhikkadakan (2019). Jayasuriya’s role in the film is reportedly based on Sriram Venkitaraman.
