Sujoy Ghosh was born on Saturday, May 21, 1966, in Bhowanipore, Kolkata, West Bengal, India (57 years old as of 2023). His zodiac sign is Gemini. He was initially educated at St. James School in Calcutta. At the age of 13, he moved to London, England, where he continued his education at Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College. From 1986 to 1989, he studied for a BSc in Computer Science at the University of Manchester. From 1990 to 1992, he studied for an MBA at Alliance Business School in Manchester. In January 2005, he started his own production company called Boundscript Motion Pictures Private Limited.   • Sujoy was an avid reader of stories from his childhood, especially those of Swapan Kumar, Nihar Ranjan Gupta, Hemendra Kumar Roy Hemendra Kumar Roy, Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay, Buddhadeb Guha, Sunil Ganguly and Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay.
