Tina Dabi, who topped the IAS exam in 2015, is the first Scheduled Caste (ST) woman to top the IAS exam. She dreamed of becoming an IAS officer and therefore, she started preparing for the UPSC Civil Services Examination in her first year of graduation.

Tina Dabi is a 29-year-old girl (born November 9, 1993) from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.

Her father Jaswant Dabi is the managing director of BSNL and her mother Himani Dabi is a former Indian Engineering Services (IES) officer. She has a sister Ria Dabi who is married to IPS officer Manish Kumar.

Tina met her future husband Atal Aamir Khan; first received the award in 2015 at an IAS celebration ceremony held at the DOPT office in Delhi. They became close to each other during their IAS training at the “Lal Bahadur Shastri National Administrative Academy” college in Mussoorie. During this period, they also traveled to the Netherlands, Paris, Rome and other places. She married Aamir on March 20, 2018, who also became an IAS officer at this time.
In November 2020, after two years of marriage, the IAS couple filed for divorce by mutual consent in the Jaipur Family Court. Earlier, Tina had deleted Khan’s surname on social media and Attar had also unfollowed her on Instagram at the same time. In August 2021, a family court in Jaipur approved their divorce request. On April 20, 2022, she married another IAS officer Pradeep Gawande at the Holiday Inn Jaipur; Pradeep is 13 years older than Tina Darby.
The wedding reception of Tina Dabi and Pradeep Gawande was held on April 22, 2022 in Jaipur. On September 15, 2023, the couple was blessed with a son. Tina gave birth to the boy in Jaisalmer.
UPSC exam
She has been very smart since she was a child and has excellent academic performance. She secured 100% marks in History and Political Science in her 12th standard ICSE examination. She graduated from “Lady Shri Ram College for Women”, New Delhi (Bachelor of Arts in Political Science). In 2016, she passed the IAS exam for the first time with a score of 52.49%.
Profession
After completing her training at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Administrative Institute, Mussoorie, she joined the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India, as Acting Assistant Secretary for a period of 13 weeks. In 2017, she was first posted as Assistant Collector, Ajmer, Rajasthan.

On 26 October 2018, Tina Dabi joined Bhilwara, Rajasthan as Sub-Divisional Officer or SDO and Divisional Magistrate. In July 2020, she was appointed as the CEO of Zila Parishad, Sri Ganganagar. In November 2020, she joined the Finance (Taxation) Department, Jaipur, as Joint Secretary. On July 6, 2022, she became the 65th District Magistrate and District Judge of Jaisalmer district in Rajasthan.
