Travis Kelce Says He’s Heard ‘Some of’ Taylor Swift’s New Album: ‘Can’t Wait for Her to Shake Up the World’

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 34, was all smiles when talking about what’s next for his girlfriend’s career during Monday’s Super Bowl media event.

While speaking with reporters at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas about the upcoming big game, Kelce also answered some questions about the pop star, 34.

When asked if he had a chance to listen to Swift’s upcoming 11th studio album, Department for tortured poetsKelce admitted he sees it as a game changer.

“I heard some of that, yes. And it’s unbelievable,” Kelce told reporters. “I can’t wait for it to rock the world when it finally falls.”

When asked for more details about her project, Kelce signaled that they were under lock and key. “I can’t give you anything,” he said. “I’ll leave that to her.”

The “Cruel Summer” singer surprised fans by announcing a new album during the 2024 Grammy Awards at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday night.

During her acceptance speech for Best Pop Vocal Album for MidnightSwift thanked those who supported her over the years and told them that she wanted to repay them by giving them a special gift.

However, some in her loyal fan base already suspected that something big was brewing. They were on the right track.

“I want to thank the members of the Recording Academy for voting this way. But I know that the way the Recording Academy voted is a direct reflection of the passion of the fans,” Swift said in her speech. “So I want to thank the fans by telling you a secret I’ve been keeping from you for the past two years, which is that my brand new album is coming out on April 19th.”

On Monday, the “Blank Space” singer shared a playlist for Department for tortured poets. The 16-track album also features contributions from Post Malone and Florence + The Machine, plus the bonus track “The Manuscript”.

Fans can pre-order the album on her website. There will be several editions of the album, including CD, cassette, vinyl and digital album.

As for Kelce, he told reporters Monday that he intends to work just as hard as Swift — who he publicly dated in October 2023.

“She’s incredible. She’s writing the history books again,” the professional athlete said of her fourth album of the year after Sunday’s Grammys. “I told her I would have to keep my end of the bargain and come home with the hardware.”

Swift was in attendance when her beau’s team cemented their spot on the field by defeating the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship game last month.

After the game ended, the “Lovers” hitmaker made his way to him at M&T Bank Stadium to congratulate Kelce, who was surrounded by teammates and cameras.

“Tay, I’m going to enjoy it with the boys,” he said. The NFL player then kissed and told the now 14-time Grammy winner, “I love you.”

Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs play the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on February 11.
