There are certainly a lot of them buzz about Travis Kelce, whether it’s his record-breaking football skills or his relationship with Taylor Swift. And now there’s a whole new subset of fans who follow one specific thing about the Kansas City tight end: his haircut
The 34-year-old NFL pro’s signature haircut became an overnight viral sensation as requests for what is now being called “Travis Kelce” skyrocketed in barbershops across the country, as he recently reported Inside Edition.
More and more fans are going to their stylists looking for a clean cut, which according to Kelce’s barber, Patrick Regan, consists of bald side shaves that gradually transition into a triple edge shave. The look is much lower than the boy bander style that Kelce wore.
Regan calls the technique a “skin fade” or “bald fade,” and it’s what fans can also suggest to their barbers if they want to look like a Super Bowl star.

Regan adds that the “Travis Kelce” haircut got the seal of approval from Swift, who followed Kelce on his haircuts several times, one of which the “Karma” singer captured on camera with her signature filter and later shared on Instagram.
“Taylor loves her hair,” Regan told Fox News. “She watched me cut it many times and always complimented me afterwards.”

Regans admits that he is not doing anything new.
“It’s funny that it’s such a simple hairstyle, you know. Barbers have been doing this hairstyle for centuries,” Regan told Good morning Americaadding that other barbers have told him they’ve noticed an uptick in requests for Kelce’s razor-sharp look.
But one cannot be surprised at the pandemonium that has arisen. “I think it just goes to show how much of an icon he is that a simple hairstyle can be called a Travis Kelce haircut,” he added. “It’s pretty cool.”

Kelce started working with Regan six years ago, when he told the barber on Instagram to schedule an appointment while he was training in Florida, where Regan is actually located. Regan didn’t open the store until 10am, but happily picked up Kelce four hours early, which was much appreciated.
Since that fateful meeting, Regan has traveled to Kansas City every week during the football season to cut Kelce’s hair, which will be freshly shaved for the upcoming Super Bowl in Las Vegas where the Chiefs play the San Francisco 49ers.
