Jinder Mahal, real name Yuvraj Singh Dhesi, is a Canadian professional wrestler. He is currently signed to WWE but has also signed to other organizations. He began his wrestling career on the independent circuit before joining WWE in 2010. After a brief stint with WWE, he and his friends, Health Slater and Drew Mclntyre, formed the stable group 3MB. He left WWE for just two years before returning. This time he went one better and competed for the WWE Championship in 2017, becoming the 50th WWE Champion and the first Canadian to do so.

Biography of Jinder Mahal
Jinder Mahal was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada on July 19, 1986. His uncle, Gama Singh, was also a professional wrestler, so his career always inspired him. His uncle was a legend in Stampede Wrestling in the 1980s and later joined the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), which later changed its name to WWE. He is of Indian origin and speaks Punjabi, Hindi and English. He studied communications and culture at the University of Calgary and graduated with honors.

Career
Jinder Mahal began his career at a young age when he began training with Rick Bognar at the Martial Arts Fitness Center. He competed in his first match under the alias Raj Dhesi at Premier Martial Arts Wrestling (PMW). He trained with Allen Coage, Gerry Morrow, Natalya, Tyson Kidd and Viktor. In 2010, he signed with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) under the name Jinder Mahal. On April 29, 2011, he made his WWE SmackDown debut. He was with Ranjin Singh and Great Khali.
Drew Mclntyre and Heather Slater chased him down, and Mclntyre interrupted Slater’s match by attacking Brodus Clay, who was wrestling Slater. They formed the alliance 3MB, which won many games in the following years. Mahal’s WWE contract was terminated in June 2014.
He joined Reality of Wrestling (ROW) and adopted the ring name, Raj Singh. Here he also won All-Star Wrestling with his cousin, Gama Singh Jr. (ASW). He has also wrestled for the World Wrestling Council (WWC), Qatar Pro Wrestling (QPW) and Continental Wrestling Entertainment (CWE) (CWE).
Mahal returned to WWE in July and began reconciling with fellow wrestlers, claiming he was angry when he left and found peace after returning. Since then, he has been a part of WWE and competed in several matches, but in June 2019, he suffered a knee injury that is expected to take him 6 to 12 months to recover from. He returned on April 27, 2020 to compete on RAW and defeated Akira Tozawa.
